My Adventure to the Klinghardt Clinic

Some of you know I had been waiting for an appointment at the clinic of Dr. Dieitrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD, the German physician who has worldwide recognition for his unconventional but successful treatment of people with severe neurological disorders, including autism. He's also an expert in treating heavy metal toxicity.

I finally went in about 10 days ago for my initial evaluation and treatment session, which turned out to be much more comprehensive than your ordinary, run o' the mill doctor's appointment. I am on a new treatment protocol, which several of you have asked me for details about, so I thought I'd go ahead and post it. After all, there might be some folks who are curious what something like this involves. This is a long and very detailed account of the whole treatment protocol, so if you aren't interested, now would be the time to hit the delete button. :-)

Dr. Klinghardt has some radio podcasts, if you're interested.

For a little background, I first became aware of Dr. Klinghardt's work last year because Dr. Mercola (my boss) has interviewed him several times for his Inner Circle members. I was so impressed with what he had to say that I looked him up online, only to discover that his United States clinic is less than 3 hours from here, in Kirkland, Washington.

You know me. I don't believe in accidents. Could this be why we moved here?

I called and was told there was a 6-9 month wait to see the doc, since people from all over the world come to see him, and he splits his time between the US and Germany. However, I could see his associate at the clinic, Dr. Kimiai, and she could get me in within the month. So I decided to go for it. I had a tug in my gut that this was the thing I should do. They accepted me as a patient, and I booked the appointment.

They mailed me a list of items I had to bring to the appointment, including blood work and a panoramic dental xray, which I fortunately already had. I also had to do a "Biological Terrain Assessment," which was a urine and saliva mail-in test measuring about 20 different markers of nutritional and metabolic function, designed to provide an overall snapshot of health.

So, back to my four-hour session. When they told me how much it was going to be at the time I scheduled it, I thought it sounded rather outrageous--but now, I think I got a bargain!

Dr. Kimiai went through every inch of my rather exhaustive medical history...I mean, I've got issues dating back to "epilepsy" at age 6 and leg pain beginning in elementary school, and about a dozen surgeries. So, that alone impressed me. I found her to be very competent, bright, warm and compassionate.

And surprisingly unrushed.

The first thing she told me was, it sounded to her like I've had infectious processes going on for decades, undiagnosed and untreated, and I've been in a perpetual state of inflammation for years, causing the chronic pain and fatigue. Now that is certainly something a physician has never told me. You mean, there's an actual reason I feel like crap?

Then she went on to explain how heavy metal and other toxins actually feed these pathogens (viruses, bacteria, parasites), and if I have any heavy metal buildup--like mercury for example--that could be maintaining the problem. And this also leads to mineral deficiencies. (At this point, she had not yet looked at my lab work.)

The lab work and the Bio Terrain test confirmed everything she suspected from my history. In fact, she said my lifetime of symptoms could not have been a more perfect reflection of systemic infection if it had been written for a textbook.

Moving on to Neural Therapy...

She said the first thing we had to do is normalize my nervous system, which is done through Neural Therapy. NT involves injecting local anesthetics into autonomic ganglia, scars, and other tissues which somehow corrects the jumbled electrical pathways that exist around those areas which impede healing. Apparently, Neural Therapy is widely used in Europe's Germanic countries in the treatment of chronic pain and intractable illness, but is rarely used in the US.

So I ended up getting all of my scars injected, which was really not a lot of fun. I was reassured that this usually has to be done just once.

Autonomic Response Testing...

Once that was thankfully over, she began the ART process--stands for Autonomic Response Testing. This is a specific assessment tool Dr. Klinghardt has developed and is one of the things he is most famous for. It allows the examiner to use changes in the autonomic nervous system to scan the body for specific infections, toxins, and other "invisible" problems. This took quite a while, and while painless for me, she was busily running back and forth between my head and the shelves, getting bottles and little boxes of who-knows-what, returning every few seconds to retest and write notes.

It was rather fascinating. I lay there wishing I were a bug on the ceiling watching what she was doing, rather than being the object of it.

After all of this, the conclusions can be summarized as follows:

  1. My adrenals have almost completely shut down. Actually, I already suspected that--I've had three saliva tests over the past 7 or 8 years showing my cortisol levels have flatlined, so basically my adrenals have gotten burned out over the years.
  2. My thyroid isn't working.
  3. I test positive for practically every pathogen. This doesn't mean I have every one of those--it means, she explained, my body is so inflamed that my nervous system is unable to differentiate anymore (in the ART). I tested positive for all the viruses, including Epstein Barre and CMV, and bacteria including the one causing Lyme disease (a spirochete), as well as testing positive for parasites. (It was verified via blood test that I do have significant Epstein Barr antibodies, indicative of "recent or recurrent" infection.)
  4. I am severely mineral deficient. Especially zinc. But deficient in all of them--the zinc was profound.
  5. I have significant heavy metal toxicity. Specific type unclear, but not likely mercury--more likely either lead or uranium. Interestingly, she has had three patients from Idaho, and all three have been high in Uranium. There is evidence that the military conducted some sort of secret tests there that released uranium into the environment, and it's been showing up in people for years. Not common knowledge, of course.
  6. My teeth, gums and jawbone are a major site of infection. This comes as no surprise to me either. The two back molars that died several years ago and had root canals and crowns, have always been ultra sensitive--even though they are supposedly now devoid of nerves. What she explained made perfect sense. The infections in people's teeth go far beyond the root, and root canals often just worsen the problem, locking in the infection. All my teeth are inflamed, and whatever infection is going on in my mouth poses a danger to not only all my teeth but my jawbone as well.
So, next came the Plan. Take me out in the pasture and shoot me?

OK, fun seekers, it's called a boatload of detox. Part one is detox the body so the organs (for me, the liver and adrenals) can get working again. Part two is help the body fight the infection through natural botanical agents. Part 3 is changing the diet to take stress off the immune system.

So here's the protocol:
  1. Dietary changes: Eliminate beef, pork, wheat, all dairy, tomatoes, eggplant, bananas, vinegar, citrus, soy, and coffee Oh, no, not that!
  2. Continue what I've been on...pain med; krill oil, ulbiquinol, vitamin/mineral supplement, probiotics, digestive enzymes, bio-identical hormones, and thyroid (T3, T4 combo).
  3. Chlorella: 3 grams daily in am (15 tablets)--best detox agent imaginable
  4. Three formulas from Klinghardt pharmacy: Unda 2, Unda 10, Unda 243--5 drops under the tongue, twice daily; total body balance and endocrine function.
  5. Dr. Kimiai's Tincture: a blend of a half dozen agents Dr. Kimiai put together for me specifically--40 drops in water twice daily
  6. Ozonated Rizole Oils: Epsilon and Jota--super potent blends of organic oils containing herbs and bark and even something akin to plant stem cells, from Europe. (antiinfective agents)
  7. Hypertonic Salts: one vial per week Tastes like seawater!
  8. Cu/Ag/Ag: one tablet each am.
  9. Infrared Sauna Treatments once/week, but only with chlorella and electrolytes and colloidal minerals on-board.
OK, so I do really feel like a lab rat. And it takes me forever to make it through all these potions and pills and drops and things. But in the 10 days I've been doing it, I do feel a little better. And my digestive tract has never worked so well.

Granted, this whole treatment plan is waaayyyyy different than what I'm used to, as a nurse classically trained in "traditional" medicine. However, Western brand medicine has little to offer me beyond pain meds for the rest of my life.

So, if this approach results in my feeling better, then I am all for it. I am completely open to whatever happens. If it works, I'll have found a gold mine. If it doesn't, it will be the most expensive bowel cleanse on planet Earth. But I've got to try.

So, there you have it.

The Shift Has Hit the Fan

Now that we are officially in the Age of Aquarius, it seems appropriate to set a new tone of thinking and being. Swami Beyondananda, aka the "Cosmic Comic," hits the nail on the head with a softly biting reflection on our country's transition of political paradigm. Although he makes full use of playful verbiage and endless puns, his underlying message is quite profound and in perfect alignment with my own beliefs, making it worth posting here.

To read more about the Swami and his style of irreverent humor, you can go to his website, WakeUpLaughing.

The Shift Has Hit the Fan: Welcome to the Sane Asylum

By Swami Beyondananda

The shift has hit the fan!

Humanity has shifted its karma into surpassing gear, and political climate change has come to America. Thanks to a grassroots up-wising, we the people huffed and puffed together in the same direction and the winds of change blew in a breath of fresh air. And we can all breathe easier.

The vote in November was more than a vote for a new President. It was a vote for a new precedent – to overgrow the "lowest common dominator" paradigm and take a step towards government of the people, by the people, for the people where the government does our bidding, not the bidding of the highest bidder -- and where the Golden Rule can finally overrule the rule of gold.. In the short term, the up-wising has been successful, and the American Evolution has begun. The first big shots have been fired, and we are on the road to recovering from an eight-year bout with Mad Cowboy Disease and Electile Dysfunction.

But now, if we want to heal the body politic of conditions like Deficit Inattention Disorder, Truth Decay and the deadliest one of all, an unchecked Military Industrial Complex, we must elect ourselves. Spiritually, it's time to quiet our barking dogmas and evolve past the Ten Commandments to an even greater realization – the One Suggestion: "We are all in it together." Once a critical mass of us chooses to live by this credo, we can avoid the critical massacre called Armageddon, create Disarmageddon instead, and achieve fulfillment as a species -- Humanifest Destiny.

The End of the Age of Nefarious?

Every journey into the light is preceded by a dark passage, and our entry into the Age of Aquarius is no different. As predicted in the celebrated quatrain ("When the goon moves into Lincoln's house, and stupider aligns with Mars, then greed will guide the planet and fear obscure the stars ..."), the Age of Nefarious delayed the start of the new millennium. But now the quatrain is heading down a new track, and soular power is shining a light on the endarkened corridors of soulless power.

Just as the eight-year journey that took us from Whitewater to Blackwater was coming to an end, some overzealous Bush-bashers hurled footwear to give the departing regime one final boot. That was understandable, but unnecessary. Better we should keep our shoes on, and use them to stand together at a time when healing wounds is more important than wounding heels. Besides, without Bush there could have been no Obama. His alarming actions awakened more people than Buddha, and a body politic in a fear-induced coma miraculously regained consciousness.

And now there is a new President: Barack Hussein Obama. After eight years of insanity, we can proclaim to the world, "America has a President Hussein!"

So now, we must face another awesome truth: We are living in a world gone sane. Welcome to the sane asylum.

Trickle Down Goes Belly Up

It's a good thing our political fates are on the upswing, as our economy has taken a sharp downturn. The house of credit cards economy based on trickle down has gone belly up, and we must face another, sadder truth. Individually and collectively, we've been suffering from Deficit Inattention Disorder, and since we were unable to do the math, we must now do the aftermath. It's a buy-o-logical fact. You cannot spend more than you have. Nature knows this. We can use no more energy than what we have in reserve. We cannot charge energy on our Ascended Master Card and repay it next lifetime.

So yes, the casino economy coming down, but there is an upside to the meltdown. There is a great opportunity in the crisis. Consider this. When the dollar hits zero, we can pay off our entire $10 trillionnational debt and hardly feel it!

Meanwhile, over the past eight years we have seen the fall of reptilian entities like Enronosaurus Wrecks, and most recently a character named Madoff made off with billions. Our entire economic system has been revealed as an extraordinary ponzi scheme where ordinary people are left holding the empty bag.

Unfortunately, this is nothing new. It's the same old needy-greedy where our collective fear of not having enough -- "scare city" -- has empowered those privatizing privateers who are plundering our planet with their mining operations: that's mine, that's mine, that's mine. This mining has overmined the planet and undermined humanity. Thus, the emergency we face right now.

So, what do we do? I am glad I asked that question. We must go beyond the fear-based state of emergency, to a state of emergent seeing. That is where we emerge and see the genuine wealth that is all around us: the virtually infinite energy from Father Sun, the prolific nourishment Mother Earth brings us every season, the love we generate from our hearts, and the inventiveness of our minds. With this realization, we have a one way ticket out of scare city ... and we enter a state of a-bun-dance. That is where we get up off our assets, move our buns, face the music and dance together. In using our resources to create good goods and greater goodness, we can weave a web of mass construction that will make us all interdependently wealthy.

Heartland Security and Purple People Power

So ... how do we do this? How do we go from our habitual "every cell for itself" consciousness that has caused our current "mining disaster", to acting on the evolutionary truth that we are in reality "all cells in the body of humanity?" How do we shift from survival of the fittest to thrival of the fittingest?

First we must move from the fear-based Homeland Security to the love-based Heartland Security, and realize our one true security is in the land of the heart. While the beliefs in our head fool us all the time, the love in our heart is foolproof. When we face up to love, we can face down the fear.

What this means in practical reality is that we must step across the "red-blue" political divide that has kept us separate, and show our true colors as one purple people. Yes, we have all been wounded by polarizing politics, so let's give ourselves a purple heart, and take the next courageous step to cohere around our shared "heart core" values and become ... we, the purple.

I have a dream ... that the rednecks shall lie down with the blue necks, and we tune out the polarizing mainstream media, which is sadly a brainwashing machine stuck on spin. More than ever, we need forums not againstums, dialogue instead of debate. When the body politic stops mass-debating and chooses to have healthy, pleasurable intercourse, we will finally create a healthy brainchild together.

This February, we celebrate Abraham Lincoln's bicentennial, and our friend Richard Lederer (the anagram master known as Riddler Reacher), tells us that when we scramble the letters in "Barack Hussein Obama," we get "Abraham is back: One U.S."

You don't have to be a Barack-backer to see that instead of relying on leaders from above, the next evolutionary step is for us to become the leaders we have been waiting for. I am Lincoln. You are Lincoln. We are Lincoln. And by linkin' together, we free ourselves from slavery to the divisive beliefs in our minds, and form a more perfect union in the land of the heart.

Sure, these ideas may seem far-fetched, but we are nearer to fetching them than ever before. Remember, we are now living in a world gone sane. Change is ahead, change is afoot, and everything is changing from head to foot. Like it or not, we are destined to have heaven on earth. Might as well get used to it.

Universal Time (UT) Explanation

With regard to my post yesterday about the Age of Aquarius transition, I've received several questions about how to determine what time 7:25am UT will be in each time zone. So, here's the answer.

This info comes from the Nasa website, by the way.

Universal Time, or UT, is measured based on the rotation of Earth on its axis with respect to the stars, which is the precise measure of time used as the basis for all civil time-keeping. It is based on the mean sidereal time as measured in Greenwich, England, called Greenwich Mean Time or GMT.

For North Americans, the conversion from UT to local time is as follows:

Atlantic Standard Time (AST) = UT - 4 hours
Eastern Standard Time (EST) = UT - 5 hours
Central Standard Time (CST) = UT - 6 hours
Mountain Standard Time (MST) = UT - 7 hours
Pacific Standard Time (PST) = UT - 8 hours

If Daylight Saving Time is in effect in the time zone, you must ADD one hour to the above standard times.

So, for example, here in the PST zone, 7:25am Saturday, minus 9 hours, becomes 10:25 pm Friday night.

However, if you read the Currivan article, she offers the suggestion of welcoming the New Age at either 7:25 UT or 7:25am in your own time zone.

Personally, the dawn of a New Age seems more fitting at sunrise. But that's just me. This is one of those things you don't have to worry about doing wrong. After all, it's your intention that counts.

Welcome the Aquarian Alignment, February 14, 2009

A friend of mine (thanks, Vicki) brought this to my attention this morning, and I'm glad she did since I wouldn't want to miss such a huge cosmic event!

This Saturday at 7:25 am, for 18 minutes, the Cosmos enters into the alignment that begins the Age of Aquarius, the "New Age." You can read a great article by Jude Currivan, PhD at her website for more information.

Some of you are too young to remember the old 1969 song "Age of Aquarius" by the Fifth Dimension, from the musical Hair. The song also went by the name "Let the Sun Shine." But you might remember the words...

When the Moon is in the seventh house

and Jupiter aligns with Mars.

Then peace will guide the planets

and love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius

The Age of Aquarius! Aquarius!

Anyway, older folks like me who were born early 1960s or before will likely remember it. But you might not have known it had any basis in the "science" of astrology--which it does.

Please join me and many new agey others in welcoming the New Age by adding your own intention for love and peace on Earth in the age to come. Our collective intention will surround the planet in a blanket of peace--and what a way to start out a new age.
